Loosely adapted from two classic one-act plays, which are cleverly stitched together, 'Juliet & Romeo', as the title implies, is an entertainment of the 'unexpected'!

A touring Repertory Company, managed by an ageing husband-and-wife team, arrive to perform 'Romeo & Juliet', but they have to overcome a large number of pitfalls. Quite apart from the leading players being somewhat long-in-the-tooth, they arrive on the wrong day, and their efforts to get the show on the road are thwarted by a series of unexpected visitors - including a ghost from Romeo's past. When the Press turn up, closely followed by the Police, the fate of the production lies in the balance.

In fact, maybe the whole piece will have to be scrapped - and replaced, in the best 'Blue Peter' tradition, with a play the Company have cooked up earlier...
